A little over a year from sharing their Counting the Days EP, Can-rock favourites Sam Roberts Band have lifted the curtain on an upcoming full-length offering. Titled TerraForm, the band's sixth studio album will arrive this fall.

TerraForm was born from the band holing themselves up to record at the Tragically Hip's Bathouse Recording Studios in Kingston, ON. Eleven tracks in the length, the record was produced by Roberts and Holy Fuck's Graham Walsh.

"Terraforming is the concept of going to another planet and making it viable and livable for humans," Roberts explained in a statement. "But in a sense, for this record it can be seen as planting the seeds for that sort of renewal in your own life – that regardless of how much you have broken the parts of your life along the way, there is always a chance to start over."

Along with the announcement of the record, the band will embark on a North American tour not long after its release. Kicking off November 2 in Sherbrooke, QC, the itinerary will take them along the East Coast of Canada and into the United States to round out the month.
